I See Great Things From The Valley But Only Small Things From The Peaks

The 5th green at Corrie Golf Course, Glen Sannox, Isle of Arran, Scotland.

Established in 1892, the course is named after Corrie na Ciche (The Devil's Punchbowl, top left) and is enveloped by the peaks of Glen Sannox. The peaks are some of the most dramatic in Scotland, with the steep slopes of Cioch na h-Oige (The Bastion, left), Cìr Mhòr (featuring 'The Saddle', centre) and Caisteal Abhail (featuring 'The Witch's Step', right centre).

There was little wind this morning and the only sound was that of Red Deer stags bellowing deep into the glen. Magnificent.
