Bathed In Turquoise
The causeway linking Eriskay (f) with South Uist (r) from Ben Scrien. Hebrides, Scotland.
There's no finer way to spend a summer's day than to climb the hill that dominates the small rocky isle of Eriskay. The narrows between Eriskay and South Uist are very shallow glow turquoise when the sun is high. This extreme beauty can lift anyone's spirits.
Eriskay was connected to the main chain of the Outer Hebrides by a causeway in 2001 and is a must visit on any tour of the Hebrides.
