The Lord's Parlour

The Cross Hall, Bamburgh Castle, Northumberland, England. Bamburgh Castle is a splendid imposing fortress on the North East coast of England. The castle was purchased and restored by the Victorian industrialist William Armstrong and still belongs in the family. Armstrong's Bamburgh was never a home for him, more a place for storing his growing collections and entertaining VIPs on a grand scale. The Cross Hall sits at the head of the Great Hall, a place where VIPs would mingle during one of the grand balls.
